
Born Brendan James Fraser on December 3, 1968, Brendan Fraser is a Canadian-American film and stage actor, who was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. His charm and acting ability allowed him to be successful in different genres, comedy, romance, action and drama.
His first lead role was in Encino Man (1992), and for a time, he was most popular in romantic-comedy, with the hit films George Of The Jungle (1997), Blast from the Past (1999) and Bedazzled (2000), among others. He also proved his worth in drama, with the films Gods and Monsters (1998) and the 2004 Academy-Award winning film Crash.
His biggest commercial success is with the action adventure horror series, The Mummy (1999), and its second sequel The Mummy Returns (2001). His latest sequel, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor was shown this year, along with another action adventure movie, Journey to the Center of the Earth.
