joshBorn on the 20th of June 1971 in Little Rock Arkansas, named Joshua Lucas Easy Dent Maurer, the “Easy Dent” was due to an incident during his birth where he slipped so fast out of his mom the doctor bumped his head on the bedpost denting it. His parents were both hippies and were anti-nuclear activists which had him traveling all over the US that by age 13, he has lived in over 13 different places. He didn’t go to college to pursue his acting career which started early at the young age of 9 when he starred in many a school plays. At age 19, he was a frequent guest star on many TV sitcoms. He was challenged by George C. Scott to take acting lessons to further develop his raw talent for film and the stage which he also frequented. He then moves to New York to improve his acting under several independent coaches and trainers.
His name was thrown into the limelight when he was cast as the leading man in the love story Sweet Home Alabama where he played opposite Reese Witherspoon who was separated and in the process of getting divorced, minus some paperwork they have to fill up. In the process of their discussions on their marital life, big city girl rediscovers her life in their small nook of the world and eventually rediscover their love again. Fortunately, their clumsy lawyer just happens to have fallen victim to many a folly as he tries to get them to sign the divorce papers eventually canceling it and leaving the two love birds to their love of each other. This film launched him into mainstream Hollywood that eventually landed more prominent roles such as big screen adaptation of the comic, The Hulk and many more. His Southern charm and innocent looks makes him part of Hollywood as one ofv the hottest hunks around, where he will remain for many years to come.
